Got One?
5" x 7" oil on board
Sold
I've been trying to paint outdoors as much as possible lately, but the last couple of weeks have been ridiculously cold. This image is from our trip out west a few years back. The scene is Echo Lake near the base of Mt. Evans, outside of Denver, Co.
My hope for this blog is that it will document my progression as an oil painter. While I have not studied art in a formal setting, I do study art on my own time. Each new painting is a study in color and technique, trial and error. Every second is a study in perspective.

Storm on the Mesa
6" x 8"
Oil on Canvas Panel
$25
I painted this from a photo that I took out of the car window during our trip out west last summer. The location is somewhere near the border of southern Utah and Colorado. Rain is rare in this area during the summer, so it was pretty cool to witness a storm on the mesa.
