Depression-Era Breakfast
8" x 10" oil on board
Inquire by email
This is a green, depression-glass syrup pitcher, sitting on a depression era Hoosier-cabinet, lit by a depression era hurricane lamp; all passed down from my grandmother, to my mom, and then me. The butter dish and knife are modern.
My camera amped up the greens and muted the oranges...
My hope for this blog is that it will document my progression as an oil painter. While I have not studied art in a formal setting, I do study art on my own time. Each new painting is a study in color and technique, trial and error. Every second is a study in perspective.
