My hope for this blog is that it will document my progression as an oil painter. While I have not studied art in a formal setting, I do study art on my own time. Each new painting is a study in color and technique, trial and error. Every second is a study in perspective.

This is a green, depression-glass syrup pitcher, sitting on a depression era Hoosier-cabinet, lit by a depression era hurricane lamp; all passed down from my grandmother, to my mom, and then me. The butter dish and knife are modern.
My camera amped up the greens and muted the oranges...
